We're kicking off Creative Cardboard Chapters by traveling back to the '80s—when arcades ruled the block (second only to the library, of course!).

Gaming, robots, crafts and podcasts, oh my! We invite teens to join us in #hangingout&nerdingout every week as we participate in various activities. We have games. We have robotics and coding. We have crafts to create.

Design your very own one-of-a-kind rubber ducky masterpiece. Whether you’re crafting a colorful decoration or creating a quirky keychain, you’ll waddle away with a duck that’s totally you. 

Step back into the ’80s for a fun, hands-on Charlie Cart session. Learn how the Charlie Cart works while making Pac-Man–inspired treats, explore Cumberland Cooks and other library programs and decorate your own Pac-Man-shaped cookies.

Celebrate friendship, creativity and imagination at our My Little Pony party! Participants will enjoy themed activities designed to spark joy, encourage cooperation and build connections with new friends.

Watch Ice Age 2: The Meltdown (PG; 2006) and make shrinky dinks to wear as charms or use as keychains. Hang out with friends and enjoy the end of your week. Happy Friday!  

Don’t spend another year bored! Explore a wide range of hobbies and discover exciting ways to dive deeper into new interests.

Join fellow adults to socialize, learn new skills, trade tips and swap patterns in a relaxed, friendly setting. Supplies are provided for beginners, and experienced participants are welcome to bring their own projects. 

In this hands-on robotics program, students explore how machines think and move using Cubelets—magnetic robot blocks that snap together to create working robots in seconds. Each Cubelet has a special job.

Hang out with us for an hour of cozy crocheting fun. Whether you're just starting out and need a hand with the basics, or you're a crochet pro ready to show off your skills and share tips, we’ve got a spot just for you.

This story time themed take and make will be available at the youth services desk from January 27 - February 2 or as long as supplies last.

Each session features engaging read-alouds followed by interactive games that bring the tales to life. After the fun, kids can dive into a hands-on craft inspired by the day’s theme perfect for sparking creativity and encouraging imagination.

Watch science and art collide as you tie-dye a zipper bag or bring your own cotton item to customize.

Is slime giving you trouble at home? Squish, stretch, and sparkle your way to success at our Slime Party! Whether you’re a slime pro or a first-time mixer, come build your skills, swap tips and show off your creations.

Put on your coziest PJs and bring a favorite stuffed animal for a magical Stuffed Animal Sleepover!

Discover the timeless art of embroidery in this hands-on workshop designed for beginners and curious creatives. Artist in residence, Kia Love, will teach foundational stitches and techniques as you craft a small, personalized piece of fiber art.

Add a little sparkle to your day with Hearts and Crafts: Diamond Dot Painting!

Each Terrific Tuesday session features engaging read-alouds, followed by interactive games that bring the tales to life.

Show your loved one you care by creating a custom picture frame as a gift. Paint, draw and bedazzle with provided supplies until you have the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day. All you’ll need to add is the perfect picture. 

Everyone can share the love with handmade cards. Explore the history of Valentine's Day cards and make a recycled card of your own!
