Each month we will explore an iconic work of Children’s Classic Literature and do either a related craft or a STEM activity. 

For May the book is The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. 

Calling all heroes, mages, wanderers, scoundrels and goblins! Join the party and play 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons with Dungeon Master Taylor. We will be meeting every Thursday. 

Can you cook for a group with $25 or less? We invite teens to learn how to cook a meal on a budget whether it's for themselves, family and friends or even a date night. And yes, you get to eat the food too!

Learn about coding and robotics as you guide different robots through obstacle courses and complete missions.

Join us as we host Playdates at the Library. During this continuous program we will provide different play materials such as sensory toys, LEGOs, etc. We hope to see you there. Ages 0 to 4 years old. 

Make marble roller coasters from plates and tape. Design a fast, twisting track and watch your marble ZOOM! Hang out with friends and enjoy the end of your week. Happy Friday! 

Practice reading out loud to a four-legged friend. The dogs from Love on a Leash enjoy listening to stories of all kinds and are a great way to encourage shy or reluctant readers. Bring your favorite book or choose one of ours. All ages. 

Trying to make some snacks for a group of friends with only $25? We invite tweens to learn how to budget as we make snacks to eat together. 

Snack of the Month: Fruity Smoothies 

Join the Cape Fear Botanical Garden educators for a special family program all about bees! Enjoy a bee-themed story time, try on beekeepers suits, roll your own beeswax candles and create a bee craft that really buzzes. 

Let's create a YouTube Channel! Join us to develop your YouTube skills and create and customize your own YouTube channel complete with unique channel art, video thumbnails, uploads and more with Code Ninjas! For ages 15 and up. 

Are you tired all the time? Do you snore, gasp for breath, wake up throughout the night or fall asleep during the day?

It's the best time of the year - springtime. Come create festive rocks for your spring or summer garden, walkways or just for festive spring décor for your home or office. All materials will be provided. 

This program is a LEGO free play. Bring the whole family. We will have LEGOs, MEGA BLOKS and DUPLOs so everyone can play!

Are you feeling lucky? Join us for Bingo-Rama to test your luck and prepare to battle it out with friends & family! Whether you’re a bingo fan or just love a good challenge, this event is perfect for you! 

Learn the basics about the popular roleplaying game. This newbie friendly group is in the middle of an ongoing campaign, but you can still join up. If you don't have a character, we'll give you a pre-generated one. 

Learn about robotics and build your own robots to perform specific tasks using Cubelets.
