Each month we will explore a book from the juvenile fiction section and do a related STEAM activity. 

With National Talk Like a Pirate Day approaching - what better book to explore then Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island? 

We will be doing a STEAM activity to make a compass, and designing our own treasure map. We will learn a little bit about how pirates navigated in the olden days and talk about how we read and follow maps today.
