Book of the Month: Jinxed by Amy McCulloch
Lacy Chu dreams of working for MONCHA, the biggest tech firm in North America. It's also the company behind baku, smart pets that double as a phone and companion. She is devastated when she finds out she wasn't accepted into the elite academy for cutting edge tech, Profectus. Soon, she stumbles across the remains of a cat-shaped advanced baku and she fixes the broken baku who she calls Jinx. Jinx becomes Lacy's perfect companion, but there's something different about him, seemingly going beyond a typical baku with abilities that surpass his code. What is Jinx really?
We encourage readers to read the book before the meeting to avoid spoilers.
