Welcome to Rainbow Skies! Every month, we meet to discuss a story with LGBTQIA+ representation. You're welcome to our in-person meetings on the second Saturday of every month or to participate virtually.
This month's read is Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Café by Fannie Flagg. Mrs. Threadgoode's tale of two high-spirited women of the 1930s, Idgie and Ruth, help Evelyn, a 1980s woman in a sad slump of middle age, to begin to rejuvenate her own life.
We'll watch the movie adaptation (PG-13; 1991) and discuss the book and the movie to end the meeting.
