Join us as we discuss Deer Season by Erin Flanagan, a quietly gripping literary mystery set in a small Nebraska town during hunting season. When a teenage girl goes missing, suspicion turns toward a local farmhand with intellectual disabilities, forcing the community, and those closest to him, to confront uncomfortable questions about truth, loyalty and the stories we choose to believe. 

Whether you’ve finished reading it or are just diving in, everyone is welcome. We’ll gather to explore Flanagan’s haunting portrayal of small-town life, the moral complexity at the heart of the novel and how silence can speak volumes in the aftermath of tragedy.
