Eighteen-year-old Daunis Fontaine, caught between her hometown and her Ojibwe roots, postpones her college plans after a family tragedy. When she meets Jamie, a new hockey player with secrets, she becomes entangled in an FBI investigation into a deadly drug after witnessing a murder. Using her chemistry skills and Ojibwe traditional knowledge, Daunis seeks the drug’s source and uncovers deep deception. To protect her community, she must embrace her identity as an Anishinaabe woman, even if it means sacrificing everything she knows.
