Mystery Book Club: The Burning Girls

Reverend Jack Brooks, a single father with a 14-year-old daughter and a heavy heart, moves to Chapel Croft in search of a fresh start and some peace. However, the village is steeped in a dark history, marked by the burning of martyrs, missing teenagers and the recent suicide of the local parish priest. Upon arrival, Jack is greeted with a peculiar welcome: an old exorcism kit and a cryptic note, quoting scripture, “But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed and hidden that will not be known.” When Jack’s daughter, Flo, begins experiencing unsettling visions in the chapel, it becomes clear that the village harbors restless spirits.
