Event Details
Join The Hungry Caterpillars for a chance to explore books, make new friends and participate in art and STEM activities!
The Hungry Caterpillars is an early readers' book club open to children in kindergarten through 2nd grade (or children ages 5-8). This month, we will read Nerdycorn by Andrew Root. Meet Fern! She’s a smart, creative unicorn who prefers building robots and coding software to jumping through shimmering rainbows and splashing in majestic waterfalls. Even though Fern is a good friend and always willing to help others, the other unicorns tease her and call her a nerdycorn. Join us to find out what happens when Fern's friends need her to fix their party equipment.
This event is part of the North Carolina Science Festival, a statewide celebration of STEM. You can find more events like this all month long at ncscifest.org.
Copies of the book will be available to read at the program.
Registration is required by calling (910) 483-7727 ext. 1425.
