This Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month we have a special family movie club just for the month of May, featuring animated Asian and Pacific Islander-based protagonists.
We wrap up our movie series with our fifth and final movie this month: Moana (PG; 2016). Bring your own snacks and blankets for max comfiness. Doors open at 1:45 p.m., movie starts at 2 p.m.
Moana is about a brave teenager who sets out on a daring ocean journey to save her people. Guided by her deep connection to the sea, Moana teams up with the reluctant demigod Maui to learn the ancient art of wayfinding. Their action-filled adventure brings them face-to-face with monsters and challenges, ultimately leading Moana to discover her true self.
