Why did nearly every community in Colonial North Carolina have a tavern? Step back in time and find out! This engaging program will explore how taverns served as bustling centers for news, politics and social life. Through engaging stories and activities, we’ll spotlight Cumberland County Patriots and Loyalists and uncover how their paths crossed inside taverns during the American Revolution. Discover the drama, debate and daily life that unfolded over a mug and a meal in colonial North Carolina.
